Abstract

Rosella flowers contain high levels of vitamin C which has the potential to be used as a feed additive for saline tilapia fish farming. The aim of this research is to obtain results on differences in doses and optimal doses that can provide the best growth for saline tilapia. The research used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) method consisting of 5 treatments and 3 replications with additional doses of mangrove leaf extract, namely, 0 g/ kg feed (A), 15 g/ kg feed (B), 20 g/ kg feed (C ), 25 g/ kg feed (D), 30 g/ kg feed (E). The parameters observed were absolute growth, FCR, SR, and water quality. The treatment was carried out for 30 days with a frequency of 3 times a day at 5% biomass. The results indicated that saline tilapia that consumed feed with the addition of 30 g rosella flower flour/Kg feed produced the highest growth of 22,01 g, FCR 1,24 and SR 100%. The water quality of the research media is temperature 28–30 C, salinity 12–17 ppt, DO 6,4–7,2 ppm, and pH 7,1 – 8,3.
