Abstract

This study aims to test and analyze the factors that affect firm profitability by involving variables of liquidity, activity, capital structure, and firm size. regression analysis to determine and analyze the effect of independent variables on the dependent variable. The object of this research is a firm incorporated in IDX80 on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2019 - 2022. According to the criteria in the study, there are 320 companies, with companies that qualify as samples totaling 250 companies. The results found that the level of profitability (return on equity) of the firm is significantly influenced positively by the high and low levels of liquidity (current ratio), activity (total asset turnover), and firm size (firm size). Thus, firm policy must prioritize these factors to maintain its stability, and even increase it. While the level of capital structure (debt to equity ratio) in this study proved unable to increase profitability (return on equity), because although the direction of the effect is positive but the impact is not real.
